How to find us
How to get to the Karlsruhe Institue of Technology (TH), Fakultät für Informatik, Adenauerring 4, Geb. 50.21
by car
- From the northwest: Take autobahn A61 south and continue south on A5 towards Karlsruhe/Basel. Exit A5 at “Karlsruhe/Karlsruhe-Durlach“, take the first exit Karlsruhe. Merge to the middle lane and keep straight on “Durlacher Allee” .
- From the north: Take the A 5 towards Karlsruhe/Basel and get off at the exit “Karlsruhe/Karlsruhe-Durlach“, take the first exit Karlsruhe. Merge to the middle lane and keep straight on “Durlacher Allee” .
- From the east:Take the A 8 towards Karlsruhe. At intersection Karlsruhe junction proceed on A 5 towards Frankfurt. Take the exit “Karlsruhe/Karlsruhe-Durlach“, take the first exit Karlsruhe. Merge to the middle lane and keep straight on “Durlacher Allee” .
- From the south/southwest: Take the A 5 towards Frankfurt, take the exit “Karlsruhe/Karlsruhe-Durlach, take the first exit Karlsruhe. Merge to the middle lane and keep straight on “Durlacher Allee” .

- Parking “Waldparkplatz Adenauerring“ (free of charge)
Follow the sign "Universität" (along the tracks). It will guide you straight and then to the right at a big church into street “Adenauerring“.
On the next intersection you will see the main entrance to the KIT Campus Süd on the left-hand side. On the right-hand side opposite to the main entrance to the KIT you see "LABORGEBÄUDE INFORMATIK", Gebäude 50.21, home to the "Cognitive System Lab".
Stay in the right-hand lane. Keep straight until you see a traffic light just in front of the footbridge crossing your road. Take a right in front of the footbridge into street “Am Fasanengarten“. Parking is available 200 meters down the street on the left-hand side. Follow the blue parking sign. Take a walk back to Gebäude 50.21, 1st floor.

Public parking “Am Fasanengarten“ (€0,50 per hour, €5,00 per day).
Opening hours: Monday – Friday 6:30 h – 22:30 h, Saturday: 6:30 h – 19:00 h, closed on Sundays and holiday. Take a 5 min walk to Cognitive Systems Lab (Building 50.21).
Do not enter "Am Fasengarten" but keep straight on Adenauerring and go underneath the footbridge crossing your road. Take a right at the next traffic light to enter the car parking. Take a 6 min walk to Cognitive Systems Lab (Building 50.21).
by train
- Take the train to Karlsruhe, exit at Karlsruhe main station (Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof). Leave the train station by the main exit and walk straight to the tramway stop. All trams coming in from the left and leaving to the right will take you to the city center. Take "Linie 4" (direction "Waldstadt", every 10 minutes) and get off at “Durlacher Tor“. Take a 4 minute walk to building 50.21.

When you arrive at Stuttgart airport, proceed as described under “by car” or “by train”. (There is a shuttle bus from the airport to the main station downtown Stuttgart. To find a train connection, use the train schedule of the German railway and enter “Stuttgart Flughafen” (airport) or “Stuttgart Hbf” (city center) as your city of departure.

When you arrive at the Frankfurt airport, proceed as described “by car” or “by train”. (Some trains leave directly from Frankfurt airport. To find a train connection, use the train schedule of the German railway and enter “Frankfurt Main Flughafen” (airport) or “Frankfurt Main Hbf” (city center) as your city of departure.
When you arrive at Badenairpark, take the bus 205 direction Merkurwald, to the railway station Baden-Baden (30 min).
From Baden-Baden, you take the train to Karlsruhe main station (20 min). To find a train connection , use the train schedule of the German railway.
